RiverMetrics™ has pioneered the development of structures and fixtures for the protection and placement of sensors in stream channels. A properly designed housing protects the sensor from debris impacts and it limits the entrainment of air bubbles by reducing turbulence near the sensor. A sampling boom positions the sensor and sampler intake at the appropriate cross-sectional location and sampling depth, and most designs permit servicing by field personnel during all flow conditions. RiverMetrics™ can design and fabricate custom sampling booms and housings for your monitoring applications.
